"Attitude Is Everything" | Pastor Anthony Mincey

David's powerful statement in Psalm 122:1, 'I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord,' reveals a transformative moment that impacted him so deeply he recalled it with joy years later. This mirrors how many believers can remember their first meaningful invitation to church—a turning point in their spiritual journey. David wasn't attracted to the physical building but to God's presence, wanting to behold His beauty reflected in His people and communicate directly with Him.While some might question the need for corporate worship when they can pray anywhere, Jesus promised His special presence when believers gather together. There's power in unity—like electricity connecting to create a greater surge. God established a pattern for salvation that involves hearing the preached Word in community. Unfortunately, some attend church with wrong motives or are physically present but mentally elsewhere. God's house is designed for encountering Him, hearing His Word, and meaningful fellowship. When we prioritize God's Word above everything else, it brings peace, healing, and provision, transforming us from the inside out. The challenge is to recapture David's passion, approaching worship with genuine expectation and enthusiasm rather than routine.
