The parable of the Ten Virgins illustrates a crucial spiritual truth about being ready for Christ's return. Five wise virgins maintained their oil supplies, representing a consistent relationship with God, while five foolish ones failed to prepare adequately. This oil symbolizes our spiritual connection with God - something that cannot be borrowed or shared with others.The anointing, or spiritual oil, manifests when we allow God's personality to work through us naturally. It's not about trying to imitate God but rather allowing His presence to flow through us. The wise virgins understood this principle and prioritized their spiritual preparation over worldly distractions. Their readiness granted them access to the wedding feast, while the unprepared virgins were left outside, highlighting the serious consequences of spiritual negligence.This teaching emphasizes that maintaining our spiritual oil requires daily dedication through prayer, worship, and studying God's Word. We cannot rely on others' spiritual reserves or wait until the last moment to prepare. The time for building and maintaining our relationship with God is now, as we don't know when Christ will return.
