"Things To Bring To Church" | Pastor K. Lamar Canady

True worship goes beyond the physical aspects of church attendance and focuses on the spiritual elements we bring. A great church isn't defined by its building or numbers but by three essential components: saintly praying that brings God's peace, sound preaching of the gospel, and stirring praise that honors God. Unfortunately, many people bring distractions to church instead of focus - from books to cell phones to minds preoccupied with problems.Psalm 100 teaches us what we should bring to worship. First, bring the right spirit - a shouting spirit that makes joyful noise unto the Lord, a serving spirit that puts us at God's disposal, and a singing spirit that expresses the joy God places in our hearts. Second, bring the right submission - acknowledging the Lord as God, recognizing Him as our creator, and accepting our position as the sheep of His pasture. Finally, bring the right sacrifice - entering His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise, honoring Him for His goodness, His everlasting mercy, and His enduring truth. When we bring these elements to worship, we not only contribute to a great church but experience personal transformation in our relationship with God.
